The Scottish Way
Scottish Clans were created to provide protection for their partners…Partners bound by blood or common purpose…At Thrifty Scotty Financial we provide that protection for your finances.
About Scotty Wallace
I have spent my life helping people. As a TV News Reporter, I helped folks understand important issues in their community. As an Emergency Medical Services Pilot I gave sick or injured patients a ride to the hospital when they really needed it. As a Flight Instructor, I taught students to think and act like pilots. As a Musician, I taught listeners about my Celtic Culture. As a Therapeutic Foster Parent, I taught my kids the meaning of family.
Then I broke my neck, back, pelvis, leg, and spinal cord. It was time for the teacher to learn a lesson…
What I Learned
I learned empathy from sitting in a wheelchair. I learned gratitude from surviving a near death experience. I learned hope from getting a Second chance at life. I learned the true value of good Financial Planning.
Why I Became a Certified Financial Planner™
During my lengthy rehabilitation I took an aptitude test. What did it show? It showed I should become a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional. It showed I could still help people… just in a different way. I became a CFP® Pro so I could help people like you. So I could help real people find real answers to their real problems. As a Certified Financial Planner™ I teach you how to save your money. How to protect your loved ones. How to invest wisely so that you can reach your life goals.
My Scottish stories might make you laugh… some might make you cry… most will make you think…and I hope a few will help you decide to take action…to get your financial house in order.
I’ll be here to help tidy it up. Let’s get started and together, “Let’s Make a Plan!”
Scotty’s “Other” Bio
I love living in Austin, Texas, “The Live Music Capital of the World.”
When I’m not helping people with Financial Planning, you can find me performing Celtic and American Music with my band, “Doublewide.”
I also enjoy riding my paddle boards on local lakes and swing dancing at area nightspots. I am proud of my service as a Search and Rescue Pilot with the Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary, and retain the rank of Captain.
I am an Airline Transport Pilot in both airplanes and helicopters. I still occasionally teach people how to fly with my certification as an FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor.
I enjoyed my decade as a Therapeutic Foster Parent teaching kids the meaning of family.
I have been a lifelong athlete. I don’t coach baseball anymore, but I love watching my grandkids play Little League!
I’d love to learn more about what’s important to you.
