We believe the best investment you’ll ever make is hiring a great Financial Planner. We can help you consistently make smart financial decisions across all aspects of your life. That will add far more to your wealth than we ever could by trying to guess which stock is going to beat the market next year.
No one can tell you what the stock market is going to do. There are two types of investors…those who don’t know what the stock market will do, and those who don’t know what they don’t know.
To determine what you should be investing in, first we have to know what you need your money to do for you and when you need it to do this task. Then and only then can we begin to match investments to your needs.
A Fee-Only Planner works for you. Period. We get paid by our clients for the work we do for them. We don’t get commissions or “kickbacks” from products we sell. We have a duty to act in your best interest. We wouldn’t have it any other way!
Most consumers believe that all financial planners are “certified,” but this isn’t true. Anyone can call themselves a “financial planner.” However, only those who have fulfilled the certification requirements of the CFP Board can display the CFP® certification marks, which represent a high level of competency, ethics and professionalism.
This certification is recognized in the United States and a number of other countries for its (1) high standard of professional education; (2) stringent code of conduct and standards of practice; and (3) ethical requirements that govern professional engagements with clients. – See more at the CFP Board’s website.
Yes! We can work with clients across the country using the latest web-based technology tools. We share our computer screen with you so we can discuss your finances in a relaxed environment, from the comfort of your home or office. We can share documents securely, and spouses can participate from different locations, saving your precious free time for other things in your busy life!
We use TD Ameritrade as our custodian. Using a Third party custodian protects a client’s assets and ensures that the assets are owned by the client, not us. Your assets are insured by the SIPC for up to $500,000 per account type and are protected against losses resulting from the failure of a broker-dealer. Please note, SIPC does not protect your assets from the volatility of the stock market. An explanatory brochure is available at http://www.sipc.org.
No. I believe everyone should have access to a qualified, independent financial planner regardless of age or wealth. During our free “Get-To-Know-You Conversation” we will find out what your financial dreams and goals are and what you would like to accomplish by working with a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional.
You should expect a long term, collaborative relationship with a trusted partner. Financial planning is an ongoing process of gathering information on your finances and on current tax laws and our economy, then looking at the variables that affect outcomes (such as inflation, early/late retirement, career changes), and seeing which decisions have the most potential to improve the outcome. We work through this process with clients on an ongoing basis, providing education and advice that can continuously help you make decisions to increase your wealth and reduce your risk of going broke.
